Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – March 30

Rick Nash

Washington Capitals at Nashville Predators

Washington lost yesterday at home to Boston and that gives Washington eight losses in their last 14 games for the month of March. The goals are starting to dry up for the Caps as they have just nine goals in their last four games while the power play that had been so lethal since the Olympic break has failed to score in three of those four games. Also, the penalty kill had gone six games in a row without giving up a goal before giving up three power play goals against in their last two games. It seems all the percentages (PP, PK, SH) are all regressing at the same time and that’s terrible news for Washington for the next couple of weeks.

If anyone can figure out the Nashville Predators, let me know.

In the team’s last five losses, the Predators have been outscored 22-9. In their last five wins, the team has outscored the opponents in 21-9. It’s such a Jekyll and Hyde situation that it can be maddening for DFS. It’s not like they’re barely winning games, they’re blowing teams out. It’s not like they’re barely losing games, they’re getting blown out.

For DFS purposes, maybe a value skater or two for the 50/50s. With the way the shooting percentage has taken a nosedive for the Caps, maybe whoever starts for Nashville in net for them is a decent play for a GPP. Other than that, I am staying far away from this one.
