Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – March 16

Jonathan Toews

San Jose Sharks at New York Rangers

The Sharks are looking to wrap up their quick three-game Eastern road swing with their third win as they head to Madison Square Garden. The Rangers are looking to find some consistent scoring as they are just 3-4-1 this month as they have managed an average of 2.50 goals/game in March.

The Sharks still don’t have a regulation loss this month (6-0-1) and they have managed 15 out of a possible 18 points since the Olympics (7-1-1). Their scoring is absolutely rolling right now as they’ve managed at least three goals in seven straight games and haven’t scored fewer than two since February 1st.

The Rangers went into Winnipeg on Friday night, got outplayed, but still managed to win on the back of a Carl Hagelin hat trick. This team has really, really struggled to find their scoring groove and it’s tough to say they will find it against a Sharks team that is deeper than them in all facets.

The Rangers went into San Jose at the start of the year and got absolutely shelled 9-2 (the infamous Tomas Hertl between-the-legs game). This is a different Rangers team now, but it’s largely the same Sharks team. I expect a fairly high-scoring game here and that makes several players in this game worthwhile in DFS. I would avoid both goalies, though.
