Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – April 8

Boston Bruins at Minnesota Wild

For as much as the Bruins are known as a “defensive” hockey team, they have at least 30 shots on goal in five straight games, averaging 36 shots on goal along the way. The team has scored 16 goals over those five games with four power play goals to boot. One thing this team has been is susceptible to road games: Since the all-star break, the team has just five losses but three of those were on the road and two of those teams were not playoff teams (Toronto, Buffalo). They’re still very good on the road, mind you, what I’m saying is that it’s not ridiculous to think they can struggle tonight.

The team defense this team has been playing lately is ridiculous. Over the team’s last eight games, they have allowed just 173 shots on goal, or just 21.6 shots per game. The competition they have faced in those games has been pretty high-calibre as well, with games against Detroit, St. Louis, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, and Chicago mixed in there.

The Wild are playing the second of a back to back and the last time they did that, they lost big time to St. Louis. I don’t know which way this game will go, but I can comfortably say it’ll be defensive and boring. I would avoid most players and probably the goalies too. I just don’t have a good feel for either side in this particular game.

*Note: Jarome Iginla is out for the Bruins. Be sure to check all lineups at Daily Face off before pucks drop.
