Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 4/3/17

Day one is over and it was great to see the ballparks filled again.  Sunday had excitement all around it, which was highlighted by Madison Bumgarner. Although the Giants lost, Bumgarner made history by being the only pitcher to hit two home runs on opening day, and he now leads the league in both strike outs and home runs. He is all-around one of the best players in the league.  Today there are a bunch of games where teams will try to make their own headlines and get the season started off on the right foot.

Projected Low Scoring Games

Atlanta Braves @ New York Mets – Anytime Noah Syndergaard takes the mound you have to be ecstatic.  One of the best personalities in baseball with an unreal arm.  Syndergaard cut body fat this offseason because he wants to throw harder – if that is even possible.  Syndergaard will control this game with ease but the Mets lineup isn’t stellar.  The Mets’ closer is suspended so Synergaard should go deep into this ball game.  The Braves don’t have much fire power and should be in rebuilding mode this season.

Targets: Syndergaard, Yoenis Cespedes.

Undervalue Plays

Pablo Sandoval – BOS- 3B –  Gerrit Cole is a great pitcher for the the Pirates, but the Red Sox have arguably the best lineup in baseball.  Cole will have to dance around Betts, Ramirez, and Bogaerts, so Sandoval should have opportunities today.

Andrew Benintendi – BOS – OF – Benintendi is another one of Boston’s young killer B’s taking up their outfield.  He showed some great strides last year and look for him to be a breakout player in 2017.  He is a cheap outfielder with a lot of protection around him.
