Foul lines are being chalked and hot dogs are being prepared, which can only mean one thing: Opening Day is here! We are in for a great season, with three games slated for Sunday, April 2nd.
New York Yankees @ Tampa Bay Rays
San Francisco Giants @ Arizona Diamondbacks
Chicago Cubs @ St. Louis Cardinals
Usually my column will have a little different set up, however, with a small slate to kick off my first blog, I’ll go through each game individually.
Pricing and scoring is based off of Draftkings. Please be sure to check the lineups and weather reports before each game.

Pitching Matchup: Lester vs Martinez
If you’re struggling to make your roster work, Lester is a great second option in Draftkings lineups. This is a game where you should look for some hitters on Chicago’s side. Martinez only has 2 years of experience as a full year starter and only threw 13 innings this spring. Look for the Cubs to have their coming out party after their iconic World Series victory last year. In today’s MLB, catchers aren’t known for their offensive numbers – Gary Sanchez is changing that idea- but luckily Kyle Schwarber is listed under catchers and outfielders. I love it anytime a player can fit in two different positions and will take Schwarber as my catcher. You can also always put Schwarber in the OF and take Molina as the catcher. Last year Molina hit .556 off Lester, which is very hard to do. Along with Molina, I love Fowler facing his old team. Aside from that I think Lester can take over this game.
Targets: Bryant, Schwarber, Fowler, Baez, Lester
