Value Plays
Guard
Danny Green SA ($5,740)
Tonight’s lineup features a little bit of everything. Stars, scrubs, and some solid values in between. The first value is at guard in Danny Green. Green started out slow in the postseason, but has made his last nine shots in a row. Nine! This is literally going with the hot hand, and at $5.7K, you almost cannot afford not to select Green into your lineup. In his last two games, Green has 41.5 fantasy points for an average of 20.75 per contest. For less than six grand against your cap, that value is almost a must. Now, the worry is that Green will not play much, but he has seen 60 minutes in his last three games, so put that worry to rest and start Danny Green.
Forward
DeJuan Blair DAL ($5,565)
It seems that Blair has alternated production so far this series, and in a way, he has. In games 1,3, and 5 he has combined for zero fantasy points, while in games 2, 4, and 6, he has combined for 81 fantasy points. In game five he was suspended, so that eliminates the trend, but anyone interested in numbers will be scared away. Don’t be, get Blair into your lineup because he is simply too valuable to the Mavericks. In his last two games played, Blair has 22 points and 25 rebounds. That kind of production needs to be on the floor, and at $5.5K, he needs to be in your lineup as well.
Center
Tiago Splitter SA ($11,967)
Splitter has been a safe haven for fantasy players so far this postseason, as he is amongst the cheaper centers who get playing time, but continues to produce game in and game out. So far through six games, Splitter has averaged 12 points, 10 rebounds, a steal and just under three assists per game. He is averaging 28.21 fantasy points per game and has not gone below 26.5 fantasy points in his last four games. At just under $12K, you want to see 30 fantasy points from Splitter for great value. He has scored 34 fantasy points or more in three of his last four games, so start Splitter with a high floor and reap the benefits when others are starting centers for $3K to $5K more, and similar production.
