6 Most Intriguing NFL Coordinator Hires

4. Steve Spagnuolo to the Giants

Don’t call it a comeback, just a reunion, as Spagnuolo, the team’s former Super Bowl-winning defensive coordinator returns back to New York to replace Perry Fewell.

The Giants’ defense has been a shell of its former self the past few years under Fewell, losing that much-feared pass rush that was a stalwart during both championship runs.

Of course, there are no more Michael Strahans or Justin Tucks waiting for Spags in New York this go-round, and Jason Pierre-Paul is a free agent. Spags has his work cut out for him finding a lot of personnel to rebuild the front seven and get the pass rush back into tip-top shape.
