It’s a fairly light MLB schedule today, but there are still enough games to keep things interesting in your daily fantasy baseball leagues. And you can still make the most of them by playing in one of tonight’s daily fantasy baseball leagues at Star Fantasy Leagues. If you deposit money, make sure to use promo code “SJN” to get a 40% deposit bonus. And if you need some help setting your lineup tonight, here are my picks to help guide your way.

(C) Buster Posey $7.523 – He has 5 hits in his last three games, including a home run. The reigning NL MVP is always a threat to do something with the stick.

(1B) Paul Goldschmidt $8,562 – Goldschmidt is continuing his solid season, with hits in three of his four games in May. He’ll be facing Chris Capuano, tonight, making his first start since being put on the disabled list. And when he was healthy, he was still allowing hitters to hit .368 against him.

(2B) Kelly Johnson $4,419 – Johnson is riding a 4-game hitting streak and has 7 RBI in those games. Might as well ride the wave at a very affordable price.

(3B) Chase Headley $7,418 – Headley is another guy who is swinging a hot bat right now. He has a 10 game hitting streak and is facing Miami’s Wade LeBlanc, who is winless this season with a .336 BAA.

(SS) Elvis Andrus $7,190 – Shortstop is especially week tonight with only half the league in action and Andrus may be the best option. He has hits in 12 of his last 13 games and could pick up a stolen base or two when he reaches base.

(OF) Carl Crawford $7,812 – Crawford continues to look like he’s back in the Tampa years as he continues to reach base and pick up hits. He’s been hitting above .300 nearly all season and shows no signs of slowing down. He’s a nice average/power/speed threat to have in the lineup.

(OF) Ryan Raburn $4,621 – Raburn is performing quite well for a guy who is at this price. He has multiple hits in 4 of 5 games and is a week removed from back-to-back 2 home runs performances.

(OF) Matt Joyce $4,406 – Joyce has struggled a bit, but just recently had 4 home runs in 5 games. He is the pick here largely based on his value and possible upside.

(U) Anthony Rizzo $6,885 – I like having a guy in my utility spot who could hit one or two out. Rizzo is that guy. Not only does he have the power, he is also hitting .357 in the last week and has picked up 2 stolen bases in that same span.

(SP) Clay Buchholz $15,681 – The AL Pitcher of the Month for April makes his first start since being accused of cheating in Toronto. Throwing at home against the Twins should lessen any concerns about the effects of the claims against.

(SP) Trevor Cahill $12,844 – Not even $200MM can buy an offense that is guaranteed to produce. Now Cahill, with his 2.84 ERA and 32 strikeouts, head to LA to take on the Dodgers and their iffy lineup. Sounds like a good matchup to me.

(RP) Craig Kimbrel $2,588 – A Braves-Reds game has all the makings of a close one, which means a closer will likely get involved. It’s hard to pick a better guy than Kimbrel.

(SP) Paul Maholm $9,833 – Even facing a Reds team riding a 3-game winning streak, I’ll take Maholm tonight. There aren’t a bunch of pitching matchups I really like tonight and, even against a good lineup, Maholm should still turn in a solid outing and can maybe pick up a win.
