Well, it happened in Boston, Gausman hit Bogaerts with a pitch and he was tossed making Baltimore have to go to their bullpen early. I don’t think Gausman meant to hit Bogaerts, it was just a curveball that got away. However, both teams knew what they were coming into and he got tossed.
Aaron Judge went deep again for the Yankees. He is on a massive streak, putting up numbers that Bryce Harper usually does. Yankee fans have to be happy, and the future is only looking brighter once Bird find his stroke. Of course we can’t leave out the milestone as Matt Holliday hit his 300th home run last night.
We have thirteen games, where a lot are starting early so make sure you take a coffee break today and set those lineups.
Low-Scoring Plays
Milwaukee Brewers @ St. Louis Cardinals – This game was postponed last night so the same projected starters will take the mound today. I like this to be even more low scoring now the the pitchers have an extra day rest. The Brewers have only hit .215 off of Wainwright with 3 home runs in 157 plate appearances. Chase Anderson is 2-0 on the season while the Cardinals .255 only allowing 1 home run.
Targets: Wainwright, Fowler
Arizona Diamondbacks @ Washington Nationals – Scherzer is pitching for the Nationals who hasn’t been his normal self this season. Look for Scherzer to get back to his ways and dominate this game. Arizona is very strong offensively but as the season gets on players start to get tired and then Scherzer should do well. The Diamondbacks have only hit .221 off of Scherzer in their careers with only 4 home runs in 115 plate appearances.
Targets: Scherzer, Harper
High-Scoring Play
Texas Rangers @ Houston Astros – These are two of the best offenses in the league. Behind the Nationals and Red Sox, when it’s all over Houston and Rangers will be up there in the league stats. The Rangers’ offense was not there last night so look for them to have a break out game tonight. Napoli hasn’t been hitting well this season, however, he was a key part in the Indians offense last year. Look for him to start swinging the bat better and hitting home runs.
Targets: Napoli, Odor
Undervalued Plays
Adam Wainwright – STL – SP – He was targeted above, but the Brewers shouldn’t do too well against Wainwright. For $7400. you can get a pitcher that could put up 15 plus points, and you still will have money left over to stack some batters.
Albert Pujols – LAA – 1B – Pujols is having a quiet season, but a solid one. He has 25 RBI’s already, however he is batting a little below average. He has a late game tonight in Seattle which is a play I like. Everyone else’s team will probably be done at that point and if Pujols puts up points than you can sneak up the leaderboard.
Khris Davis – OAK – OF – Davis doesn’t have the highest average but he does have 10 home runs. The Twins are throwing Gibson who has an ERA above 8, and has let up 6 home runs while only striking out 13. Davis should have a field day in this game.
