Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 4/27/17

Daily fantasy baseball

Happy birthday Aaron Judge! The 6-foot-8 monster celebrated his 25th birthday in style on Tuesday night.  He had a home run and made a catch jumping into the stands.  There wasn’t a lot of other news around the league last night so we will dip into the minors.  Tim Tebow has racked up 9 hits in his last 20 at bats raising his average to .246.  He hit his first career triple and nearly missed his 3rd home run.  I’m not the biggest Tebow fan but what he is doing is impressive. Hats off to him.

We have 11 games today, one of which is a double header.  I believe the out come of the first game will affect the second game so I personally won’t be going near either.

Low-Scoring Play

New York Yankees @ Boston Red Sox – Porcello and Severino didn’t look bad last night in the game, but the teams are sending their aces to the mound today.  Chris Sale is second in the league in ERA with a 0.91 and striking out everyone in his path.  He has been great for Boston so far and thrives at Fenway.  Boston is still missing Sandoval, and Pedroia who have had success off of Tanaka in the past.  He has an ERA of 6 but I like him to show up in the spotlight.

Targets: Sale, Bogaerts

High-Scoring Plays

Miami Marlins @ Philadelphia Phillies – Volquez is 0-2 on the year and has faced a limited amount of Phillies.  The Philles that have faced him are hitting .379 off of him.  On the other side Hellickson is 3-0 but, because it’s baseball, you have to expect him to pick up a loss at some point.  Stanton is hitting .300 on the year with 7 home runs, however, he isn’t in the headlines like we are used to seeing.

Targets: Nava, Galvis, Franco

Atlanta Braves @ New York Mets – Harvey is pitching for the Mets who got beat in the first inning last night.  The game might not be high-scoring on the Braves side but I expect the Mets to show up. Syndergaard got scratched from the starting spot and will be replaced by Harvey.  Harvey has been cheap this season and won’t be a bad play.  R.A. Dickey was magical for the Mets a couple of years ago and then was traded for the pitcher he was supposed to be facing today.  If his knuckleball isn’t moving, then it’s a batting practice fastball.  Watch Cespedes take batting practice, he crushes the ball.  Look for him to get a hold of one and lead the Mets big in the one.

Targets: Cespeds, Duda, Bruce

Undervalued Plays

Matt Harvey – NYM – SP – A day game with warm weather, I like Harvey in this position.  The game got rained out two nights ago so Harvey is on the correct amount of rest and should be a good play against the Braves who aren’t great.

David Peralta -ARI – OF – $3800 for a outfielder batting .346 with 3 home runs is a great pick.  The Diamondbacks are having a strong year and should beat the Padres and score a lot of runs.  If Peralta is on base he will great driven in.
