Chicago survives Game 5 against the Indians

daily fantasy baseball picks

Sunday night was a blast for the generations of Cubs’ fans since they finally got a reason to celebrate the first win of their favorite team in the World Series at Wrigley Field since 1945. Chicago Cubs have finally picked up an exciting 3-2 victory over Indians, forcing Game six of the Series in Cleveland this Tuesday. Having survived game 5, Cubs miraculously prevented elimination and have managed to slim down Cleveland’s lead. Game 6 will take place at Progressive Field Tuesday night and promises to be even more breathtaking.

The heroes who saved the day were Bryant, who salvaged the game with his solo home run that was an inspiration to a three-run fourth inning, as well as Lester, who helped keep Indians at bay with his strong innings, and Chapman with eight-out World Series save. Who would have ever thought this would become a great night for Chicago Cubs; one could probably compare their victory to winning big time at SA online casinos by Casinority.

Notably, the first five games were not a complete success for Bryant; he got only one hit. However, he clearly was trying his best, and a couple of errors in the 4th game did not contribute to his confidence. Nevertheless, finest players always seem to deliver their best in the biggest moments of the game, and it was exactly what Bryant did.

Besides, it was the first time Chicago Cubs had had three consecutive straight hits in this Series. Heyward, whose brilliant defense is an asset that saw him back in the game after his struggling bat had him out for the first three games, stuck out, then Javier Baez successfully bunted the ball to load the bases. Finally, David Ross followed with a sac fly after battling with a couple of strikes.

After Sunday night, the crowds can finally have a sigh of relief after two days of fearful silence while closely watching the Cubs scratch out their well-earned victory; they even seemed to have forgotten that it has been 71 years since the World Series took place in Wrigley. Now the team has a chance to continue their rally in Cleveland.

Still, the last time there was a party in Wrigley was October 8, 1945, when the Cubs won World Series at home. Now Chicago Cubs have to do the something that may seem impossible – they need to win next two games. They have already managed to survive this Sunday; next two games might be a bit trickier to dominate. Still, Cleveland Indians will most definitely not surrender willingly. So it will be a challenge for the Cubs to demonstrate their superiority.
