Daily Fantasy Hockey: Line Stacks For Nov. 2

2016 World Cup of Hockey Schedule

Last nights slate included three games and the same goes for tonight. As always I recommend playing small with such a short slate.

Top Line Stack- $22,500

Dallas Stars: Tyler Seguin ($8,500) Jamie Benn ($8,000) Patrick Sharp ($6,000). This line is extremely expensive but it’s for a good reason. As a line they have totaled 10 goals together which is good for second in the league. The Stars have a 3.64 GFA while the Leafs are allowing 3.30 goals per game. The dynamic trio is usually on the same PP together and the Stars as a team have a 26.3% PP% while the Leafs have a miserable 73.7% PK%. The 23-year-old Tyler Seguin has 5 goals and 11 assists on the season and is averaging 5.7 FFPG. Oh, by the way he leads the league in assists. Jamie Benn is the reigning Art Ross Trophy recipient (87 points in 2014) has 9 goals and 8 assists for 17 points on the year. Benn is tied for the league lead in goals and leads the league points. I can see him winning the Art Ross again this year if he keeps it up. Patrick Sharp started the year off cold with his new team but seems to have found his scoring ways with 4 goals in his last 3 games. I love this line every night no matter the matchup but tonight it gets even better vs the Leafs. The Stars have a CF60 of 117.5, good for first in the league. Jonathan Bernier is expected to start in net tonight for the Leafs and has a 0-6-1 record with a GAA of 3.02 and a .899 SV%. It will be his third start in the last four days! If you want to pair a D-man with this line I would go with John Klingberg ($5,100) he is averaging 3.6 PPG on DK. Going with all four of these players will leave you with only $4,480 remaining but I don’t see it possible to win a GPP without at least three of these guys in your lineup tonight.

Mid Line Stack- $15,900

L.A. Kings: Jeff Carter ($5,700) Tyler Toffoli (5,600) Milan Lucic ($4,600). Yesterday I said that I don’t usually recommend stacking vs a good goalie especially at home but I will have some shares of this line tonight. The Kings play in Chicago tonight vs the Blackhawks. It looks like Corey Crawford will get the start tonight and he has been stellar in net with a 5-3-0 record, 1.76 GAA and a healthy .938 SV%. I am hoping that Crows stats will keep the ownership % down on this stack but its tough to tell. Tyler Toffoli is tied for the league lead in goals with Jamie Benn at 9 goals. Jeff Carter has 10 points in 10 games this year and Lucic is on a 4 game point streak. This line is hot with 9 points in their last two games and I will continue to play them until they show me otherwise. I will have to temper some expectations though as this will be a tough game for either team to score 3 or more goals in. If looking at a D-man to pair with this line look at Drew Doughty ($5,500) or Jake Muzzin (4,400).

Contrarian/Value Stack- $13,700

Philadelphia Flyers: Jakub Voracek (6,500) Brayden Schenn ($4,300) Scott Laughton ($2,900). Leftwinglock.com has this listed as the Flyers second line tonight. Voracek is usually on a line with Claude Giroux but if the lines stay this way I think you will get some low ownership numbers on Schenn and Laughton tonight. They are on the road vs the Vancouver Canucks tonight but don’t let that scare you. The Canucks have a CorsiFor % total of 46.8% which is third to last in the NHL. Expect the Flyers to get some good scoring chances and let’s hope this line is right in the midst of those chances. Voracek had 81 points last year which was a career high yet he only has 3 assists so for this year. He does have 40 shots on goal and he will find the back of the net sooner or later. Schenn and Laughton should get a few good opportunities tonight along side Mr. Voracek and lets just hope that they capitalize on a couple of them.

Good luck tonight and as always my twitter handle is @afish84 if you have any questions or concerns. You can also leave comments below.
