Pitchers

1. Matt Harvey: The Dark Knight is back in Gotham, where he is 3-0 this season. Facing the Cardinals (John Lackey) will be no easy task, but he’s a stronger bet for a W than Kluber, Sale and Hamels.

2. Dan Haren: Haren was lit up on the road in his last start, but returns home tonight, where he is 2-0 with a 1.59 ERA. He’s presents an affordable if you’re looking to avoid Harvey, Kluber, Sale and Hamels.

3. Lance McCuller: Are you in the mood to gamble? If so, McCullers is your guy tonight. He’s making his major league debut after dominating Double-A. The Astros are a slight favorite at home against the struggling Drew Pomeranz, but McCullers may have a short leash in his big league debut.

Catchers

1. James McCann: 6/12 with 3 XBH’s over his last 3 games. The Tigers are favored, and this game has an over/under of 8.5. McCann is batting 8th tonight.

2. Stephen Vogt: He’s been in a bit of a slump lately, but his power makes him an enticing option against a rookie. This game also has an over/under of 8.5.

Other top plays: Gattis, Rosario

First Basemen

1. Ryan Howard: 3/8 vs. Lyles. 7/14 over his last 4 games…and he’s in Coors field.

2. Miguel Cabrera and Paul Goldschmidt: Both guys are red hot right now, and neither has a particularly intimidating matchup. Although Goldy is just 3/16 vs. Haren.

3. Justin Bour: He’s hitting cleanup tonight, but has the price tag of a guy hitting 9th.

Second Basemen

1. Jose Altuve: Crushes left handed pitching. 5/10 vs. Pomeranz.

2. Ian Kinsler: .941 OPS this month. 5/8 over his last 2 games.

Other top plays: Gordon, Utley, Sogard

Third Basemen

1. Yasmany Tomas: 4/8 with a HR over his last 2 games. He’s hitting cleanup, and this game has an over/under of 8.

2. Nolan Arenado: 1/2 with a double vs. Hamels. This game is in Coors field.

Other top plays: J. Rogers, Prado

Shortstops

1. Chris Owings: 9/14 with 2 XBH’s vs. Haren. 13/26 over his last 6 games.

2. Freddy Galvis: Comes into Coors field hot going 7/15 over his last 4 games.

Other top plays: Semien, Sardinas, Iglesias

Outfielders

1. AJ Pollock: 5/8 with 2 XBH’s vs. Haren. Batting 2nd tonight.

2. Giancarlo Stanton: He’s got 4 HR’s in his last 5 games.

3. Curtis Granderson: .804 OPS in 34 career AB’s vs. Lackey, and he’s homered in his last 2 games.

4. Michael Cuddyer: Cuddyer is 8/25 with 4 HR’s vs. Lackey, and he’s starting to heat up as well.

Other top plays: Braun, K. Davis, Springer, Reddick, Crisp, J. Martinez, Francoeur
