The Braves are unstoppable.
Trade away Jason Heyward. Trade away Craig Kimbrel. Surround Freddie Freeman with Alberto Callaspo and Eric Young, Jr.
Sweep the Marlins to start the season.
Maybe the preseason predictions were wrong about Atlanta. Maybe the Braves — currently outscoring opponents 16-3 as of this writing — will indeed run the table and make up their 17-game deficit in the National League East race from last season. At this 162-0 pace, the Braves could be crowned division winners before the Trade Deadline.
Their only competition remains in the form of the 3-0 Rockies in the race for home field advantage throughout the playoffs. But the loser of this dogfight has nothing to fear. Both the Rockies and Braves seem to be more than comfortable on the road, as their combined 6-0 start has included zero home games.
