3. Phillip Dorsett, WR
The speedster out of Miami (Fla.), Dorsett has caught the attention of a lot of teams over the past few weeks. The process began at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. and has continued through the NFL Combine and into the Hurricanes’ Pro Day.
We were already well aware of the fact Dorsett has some wheels on him, but in the Pro Day he showed off his steady hands and a second gear that has him in line to be a dangerous vertical threat in the professional ranks.
This year’s wide receivers class is very deep, beginning with Amari Cooper and Kevin White as projected top-10 picks and then to Devante Parker, Jalen Strong and Dorial Green-Beckham, all of whom could come off the board in the first round. Dorsett, however, could sneak into the mix and leapfrog one of those prospects. He makes a lot of sense for Baltimore as a replacement for Torrey Smith.
