B.J. Raji to the Patriots
Bill Belichick is notorious for his craftiness when it comes to helping veteran or injury plagued players return to the peak of their careers. With Vince Wilfork now in Houston, he has a major need in the interior part of his defensive line, so why not take a chance on a once very promising tackle in Raji?
Raji returned to Green Bay a year ago only to be injured for most of the season. It seems like a divorce between Raji and the Packers is imminent, and the market for the 28-year-old nose tackle has been quiet.
Raji went to college at Boston College and has played in a 3-4 for his entire NFL career. New England seems to be a natural fit — for both sides that is — and he could come cheap.
