Brandon Spikes to the 49ers
The 49ers are losing linebackers by the week. Patrick Willis and Chris Borland both retired, unexpectedly, and suddenly the defense’s strength is a major question mark.
Spikes has been outstanding in New England and most recently in Buffalo as a run stopper, and most importantly he fits a major need by the team out by the Bay.
Reports indicate Buffalo wants Spikes back, but as a role player. Perhaps the linebacker-needy 49ers would be willing to give him more freedom in their defense.
