6. Vince Wilfork, Patriots
This is where it gets tricky. The 33-year-old defensive tackle is the heart of the Patriots’ defense and is coming off another Super Bowl win. He’s beloved by the Foxborough faithful as well as owner Robert Kraft. But cutting Wilfork could save the team more than $8 million. He may be a casualty if the team wants to lock up Darrelle Revis and Devin McCourty.
