Fantasy Golf: DraftKings Picks for the Honda Classic

Graeme McDowell

The buildup for The Masters is just about at the home stretch and the PGA Tour heads east for the Florida swing at the Honda Classic this week at PGA National.

Russell Henley is the defending champion. In 2014 he won a four-man playoff with a birdie on No. 18 to outlast Rory McIlroy, Ryan Palmer, and Russell Knox.

McIlroy is in the field this week but is an expensive draft pick at $15,700, a full $4200 more than the next player on the list, Dustin Johnson.

DraftKings Honda Classic picks:

Graeme McDowell ($9600) – Has made the cut in all five of his appearances at PGA National with three top 10s. He tied for ninth in Dubai a month ago.

Lee Westwood ($9300) – Westwood is hot and plays well at PGA National. He has a win, a tie for ninth, and a tie for fifth in his last three starts and has three career top 10s at the Honda.

Graham DeLaet ($8700) – DeLaet has two top-10s in his last three starts including a tie for eighth at Riviera last week. He last played the Honda Classic in 2013 when he tied for ninth.

Paul Casey ($8400) – Has a good track record at PGA National with a tie for 12th last season and a tie for fourth in 2010.

Victor Dubuisson ($8000) – Tied for fourth in Abu Dhabi his last time out. Playing the Honda for the first time.

Erik Compton ($5800) – Our first five are pretty balanced and that’s because we are going with an inexpensive wildcard in Compton. The Native Floridian has four of his 13 career top 25s in the Sunshine State, including a tie for fourth at the Honda in 2013.
