Ali Marpet, Offensive Line
Marpet followed up an impressive Senior Bowl with one of the better testers this weekend at the NFL combine. He wound up being one of most athletically gifted among the offensive linemen.
A 300-pounder, Marpet hails from Hobart and Williams Smith Colleges, which I’d bet is a school most of us have never even heard of. Marpet put up 30 reps on the bench press and grabbed a lot of attention with a 4.98-second 40-yard dash. He also finished second in the cone drill among the linemen with a time of 7.33 seconds.
He’s a player many teams might be able to steal in the second or third round to help bolster their interior lines.
