Marcus Mariota, Quarterback
The reigning Heisman Trophy winner has seen his draft stock dip since the National Championship game, but bounced back with a tremendous combine outing.
Mariota had a chance to show he can transition from Oregon’s spread offense to the NFL ranks, displaying great footwork in addition to the athleticism we’ve already seen in full effect in Eugene.
It’s been reported Mariota was a bit shy during his one-on-one interviews, but at the same time very mature. Some teams may prefer a very vocal leader; others may want the more grounded player.
Signs point to Mariota being the second quarterback off the board, perhaps the No. 2 player overall. If Tennessee passes up on him, he still should not fall past the top 10 picks.
