The PGA Tour’s West Coast swing heads to historic Riviera Country Club this week for the Northern Trust Open.
Defending champion Bubba Watson and Brandt Snedeker, who was impressive with his win at Pebble Beach last week, are both in the field. Tucked into the hills just outside of Los Angeles, Riviera Country Club plays at 7,349 yards and a par 71.
Last season Watson carded a pair of 64s on the weekend and rallied from four shots off the lead entering Sunday to post a two shot win and halt a 22-month winless drought.

The picks:
Nick Watney – Playing well and could be due for a win. Tied for seventh at Torrey Pines and followed that up by finishing second to Sneaker last week at Pebble.
Webb Simpson – Playing for the first time since he tied for seventh at the Humana Challenge. Has made the cut in all three appearances at Riviera including a tie for sixth in 2013.
Charlie Beljan – Lost in a playoff here in 2013 and was tied for second entering Sunday last season before slipping to 12th. Is coming off a third place finish at Pebble.
Bill Haas – Won this event in 2012 and has finished in the top 25 in the last four Northern Trust Opens. He won earlier this season at the Humana as well.
Francesco Molinari – Playing fourth PGA Tour event of the season and finished tied for 10th at the Humana.
Robert Streb – Leads the PGA Tour with five top 10s. Welcomed first child recently and has not played since a tie for 10th at the Phoenix Open.
