We’ve seen this before in New York with a certain gunslinger named Brett Favre. The Jets have a truly solid core on both sides of the ball, including the offense, which features Eric Decker, Percy Harvin and Chris Ivory, as well as a decent offensive line up front. Manning could move to New York and play in the same town as brother Eli. Now wouldn’t that be the media’s dream come true?
The Jets are in the hunt for a new quarterback, whether it’s via free agency or the draft. They can still afford to draft a quarterback and let him sit and learn under Manning, something they haven’t done with Mark Sanchez or Geno Smith. Plus, that would guarantee us two meetings against Tom Brady for another year.
