When Manning hit free agency back in 2012, the Cardinals were one of two finalists to land the future Hall of Fame quarterback. Arizona head coach Bruce Arians was Manning’s first quarterbacks coach when he arrived in Indianapolis.
Carson Palmer is set to turn 35 coming off a second ACL tear. We saw how dangerous this team was with a capable quarterback under center, and in contrast, how futile it was with Drew Stanton and Ryan Lindley. Manning could pick up right where Palmer left off, and perhaps the team will maneuver a way to keep Larry Fitzgerald around one more year.
