NFL Week 14 Picks: Look For The Steelers To Bounce Back In Cincy

Ben Roethlisberger

Dallas Cowboys (-3.5) at Chicago Bears

Thanksgiving was not kind to either of these teams. Two losses for a combined 40 points, the Bears and Cowboys meet exactly one week after watching their opponents enjoy a feast, both during and after their respective games. For Chicago, it was just another loss. For Dallas, it was a massive blow dealt to the team’s chances at a division title.

While we always look for the potential of a team to bounce back from a tough loss, the edge has to belong not only to the team that needs it more, but the one that has shown the ability to do so previously this season. The Bears have already accrued a two and three-game losing streak this year, while Dallas’s only back-to-back loss came during the absence of quarterback Tony Romo due to injury.

Dallas’ loss to Philadelphia puts them in a difficult position going forward but, fortunately for the Cowboys, they meet the Eagles next week for a shot at revenge and another crack at the NFC East. Losing to the Bears on Thursday might render the Eagles game useless, and the Cowboys could be dead before ever getting the opportunity to right their ship. They cannot and will not let this game slip away.

With their top-ten offense attacking one of the league’s worst defenses, the Cowboys win by ten and cover.
