We watched football. We ate. And now it’s time to digest it all.

The Lions and Bears, Eagles and Cowboys, and 49ers and Seahawks all squared off in pivotal division games on Thanksgiving Day, and by the time we finished up our second helpings we were left with a more accurate vision of the NFC playoff picture.

A strong second quarter pushed the Lions over the Bears to put Detroit a half-game back of Green Bay in the NFC North. The Eagles’ defense and special teams proved to be too much for the Cowboys to handle, and took over sole possession in the NFC East with the convincing win. Then the defending champs won their second win in as many weeks as the defense reminded us of the team’s playoff run a year ago, and now the Seahawks have ascended into the top Wild Card spot.
