Daily Fantasy Hockey: DFS DraftKings Values – November 9

Evander Kane

There are a lot of teams playing the second game in as many nights. These teams include the Rangers, Senators, Sharks, Lightning, Maple Leafs, and Canucks. The Senators and Maple Leafs are playing the make-up game from their postponement due to a shooting on Parliament Hill in Ottawa not too long ago.

The only monster favorite today is the New York Rangers, though they themselves are playing their second game and coming off of a loss. The big note from today is that Corey Perry has missed the last two games, and yesterday’s practice, with the flu. Via theScore, it looks like he’s out tonight, and that downgrades the whole top line.

Play Daily Fantasy Hockey on DraftKings Tonight!

As always, check Left Wing Lock for goalie confirmations.

Players will be in order of perceived value, by position, and there should be enough to mix-and-match for each type of game available on DraftKings. Some positions might only have a few plays, some might have several. It all depends on the day, the matchups, and the price.

Remember: players are in order of value, not necessarily in cost. Just because Sidney Crosby is $8000 one day doesn’t mean he’s a better value than Andrew Shaw at $4000.

Cash Games

Center Wing Defense Goalie
Brassard (NYR) – $5400 Maroon (ANA) – $3300 Vatanen (ANA) – $3900 Lundqvist (NYR) – $8200
Bozak (TOR) – $5400 Nash (NYR) – $7000 Hunwick (NYR) – $3000 Andersen (ANA) – $8600
Toews (CHI) – $6100 Van Riemsdyk (TOR) – $6400 Keith (CHI) – $5300
Kadri (TOR) – $4500 Nyquist (DET) – $5100 Franson (TOR) – $4200
Zetterberg (DET) – $6800 Kane (CHI) – $5900 Stralman (TBL) – $3400
Shaw (CHI) – $3700 Palat (TBL) – $5100
Kreider (NYR) – $4200

  • Toronto’s centres should have a good night tonight. The Senators are pretty porous defensively and are dealing with some injuries on top of that.
  • Edmonton’s defense may have some problems handling the big, physical, skilled presences of Rick Nash and Chris Kreider. That could lead to a good night for the Rangers wingers.
  • Paying up for Keith tonight may not be a bad idea. The Blackhawks look like they should be in for a good night offensively.

Guaranteed Prize Pools/Tournaments

Center Wing Defense Goalie
Brassard (NYR) – $5400 St. Louis (NYR) – $5500 Vatanen (ANA) – $3900 Reimer (TOR) – $6700
Toews (CHI) – $6100 Nash (NYR) – $7000 Stralman (TBL) – $3400 Crawford (CHI) – $7600
Bozak (TOR) – $5400 Kane (CHI) – $5900 Gudas (TBL) – $2900
Johnson (TBL) – $6400 Versteeg (CHI) – $4200 Keith (CHI) – $5300
Kessel (TOR) – $9000
Van Riemsdyk (TOR) – $6400
Kucherov (TBL) – $5400
Palat (TBL) – $5100
Zuccarello (NYR) – $4400

  • I like the matchup tonight for the secondary players on the Lightning, avoiding the shutdown top line of Detroit.
  • The top line for Chicago of Toews-Kane-Versteeg is relatively cheap, and has a good matchup. That makes them extremely stackable.
  • James Reimer has played well so far this year, has a cheap price, and gets a decent matchup. That’s a good combination for a GPP goalie.

Slim’s Pickins (bargain plays)

Vladislav Namestnikov (TBL-C, $2500) – Secondary power play minutes and playing with Jonathan Drouin. That’s some punch down the lineup.

Bryan Bickell (CHI-W, $2700) – Getting what should be “second line” minutes, though on Chicago, that could last about a half-period.

Niklas Hjalmarsson (CHI-D, $2600) – He may have to face some tough competition, and some blocked shots as a result. No particular feeling here, but he appears to have a solid floor.

Good luck!
