5. A fitting finale
The 45th and 46th batters Petit retired — Jackson Williams and Culberson — were both members of the Giants farm system. Williams was drafted by San Fran in the first round of the 2007 MLB Draft out of Oklahoma, and played with the organization until last year without making the big-league roster.
Culberson, the infamous 46th out, was also drafted in the first round of the 2007 MLB Draft out of high school. He was traded to NL West rival Colorado in a deal including Marco Scutaro back in July 2012.
