Gasol moves from LA to Chicago
We believed Gasol might have stayed with friend Kobe Bryant in Los Angeles or followed Anthony to the Big Apple, but instead he chose to sign with the Bulls.
Gasol is certainly an upgrade over the declining talents of Carlos Boozer, whose days in Chicago are surely numbered. He provides the Bulls with another front-court scorer to complement Joakim Noah.
But this cannot be the Bulls’ marquee move this offseason. It certainly does not shift the balance of power in the East, especially with LeBron and Anthony remaining in the conference.
