Chicago Cubs (Samardzija) at Miami Marlins (DeSclafani)
Samardzija has had a problem with the long-ball lately and I’m not sure that going to face the Marlins will necessarily help that. Sure, it’s a good pitcher’s park. It’s also the home of Giancarlo Stanton. I would be looking at the left side of their infield for hitters tonight. Both are on streaks and both are among the small handful of Cubs players that can actually hit lefties.
Starlin Castro (SS) – $6752
Luis Valbuena (3B) – $5333
Anthony DeSclafani is not even offered tonight so he’s not a concern. Stanton is on a bit of a hot streak so he’s not a bad option for tonight. I’ll also be looking at Casey McGehee as he just can’t stop hitting and still has a fairly cheap price.
