Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – May 31

San Francisco Giants (Petit) at St. Louis Cardinals (Wacha)

*This is the only game with serious weather concerns. All players can be avoided but I would more lean to just paying attention to weather forecasts as they update close to 1:00 PM EDT.

Petit isn’t offered on DS today so he’s not even an option. I’m not chasing their hitters against Wacha, either.

The more I think about starting Wacha the less I kind of like it. He’s pitched well this year but not striking out nearly as many guys lately; he struck out at least seven in five of six starts in April but has reached that mark just once in May. The upside is not there like it was, but he’s still a “safe” option. There are a couple of good hitting options for St. Louis today and they’re not overly expensive, either.
