Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – May 31

Seth Smith

Tampa Bay Rays (Odorizzi) at Boston Red Sox (De La Rosa)

Odorizzi has pitched much better in May than in April but he’s still walking a lot of guys and that’s a value killer. They are also facing a (at least formerly) highly touted prospect making his first start in three years. I think the Rays can be passed on today.

I might take the risk on De La Rosa today. As I said, he was a highly-touted prospect at one point and was a piece in the monster Red Sox/Dodgers trade of a couple of years ago. He has a cheap price and a decent match-up. Not a bad third option. There are also a couple of players riding pretty good hitting streaks right now and will want Bogaerts in a lot of lineups.

A.J. Pierzynski (C) – $5974

Xander Bogaerts (SS) – $5077

Rubby De La Rosa (SP) – $12,687
