Kansas City Royals (Vargas) at Toronto Blue Jays (Happ)
If James Shields couldn’t make it out of Toronto without suffering a lot of damage on the scoreboard, I don’t like the chances for a soft-tossing lefty. I’m not chasing many of the Royals hitters, either.
I used Happ against Cleveland a couple weeks ago because they had a bad team wOBA against lefties (now at .286 as a team). The Royals aren’t much better at .289. I’ll be using Happ again tonight. Also, it’s a night to stack the Jays bats against Vargas, as they Jays are tied for 3rd in baseball for team wOBA against LHP.
