Detroit Tigers (Verlander) at Seattle Mariners (Iwakuma)
Verlander is riding name recognition but one would think that if he breaks out, Seattle is a good bet. He’s just not striking anyone out though and that kills his value. I’m not targeting the Tigers hitters against Iwakuma, either.
Iwakuma has a really cheap price tonight considering his skills and he shutout the Tigers twice last year. He also has 24 strikeouts to just two walks this year. I’ll risk it. With Cano day-to-day, there isn’t a lot to like about this lineup.
