Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – May 21

Matt Adams

Minnesota Twins (Hughes) at San Diego Padres (Ross)

People might laugh, but Hughes warrants serious consideration tonight. He’s allowed four earned runs in his last 26.1 innings with zero walks and 20 strikeouts. Those were two games against Detroit, one against Boston and one against Baltimore. He’s a good target for today as a mid-tier pitcher. I’ll stay away from most of their hitters against Tyson Ross, though.

Brian Dozier (2B) – $8419

Phil Hughes (SP) – $16,366

Tyson Ross has given up three earned runs in his last 21 innings with 21 strikeouts to go along with that. He’s a fine start in this game and he makes it tempting to start both pitchers in this one. I’ll be staying away from most Padres hitters against Hughes in this one.

Tyson Ross (SP) – $20,556

Seth Smith (OF) – $5611
