Milwaukee Brewers (Gallardo) at Cincinnati Reds (Cueto)
Gallardo came back down to earth a bit in his last start though he was due to give up some home runs so I don’t consider it that big of a deal. He’s one of my two favourite mid-tier pitchers for today. Aramis Ramirez is hitless in eight straight games but has mashed Johnny Cueto in the past (with a good-sized sample behind him, 13-for-39).
Yovani Gallardo (SP) – $15,767
Aramis Ramirez (3B) – $4982
Cueto has been exceptional so far this year but I’m not sure I’m willing to pay over 24-percent of my budget on a pitcher that is due to get slapped in the face by the regression monster sooner rather than later. I’d just rather avoid the Reds today I think.
