Atlanta Braves at Milwaukee Brewers
The Atlanta Braves are sending Julio Teheran to the mound, more out of necessity than anything. He did succeed against the Brewers last year, but that was a lineup without Ryan Braun and Jean Segura did manage to go 3-for-3 against him when he faced Teheran. I don’t think I’d start the pitcher in this one, but Chris Johnson is an interesting choice at third base. He’s not an overpowering option, but he was batting clean-up in Spring Training.
Chris Johnson (3B) – $5212
Jason Heyward (OF) – $6783
It remains to be seen if Yovani Gallardo can return to form but it is intriguing that he faces the Braves today. He represents the ultimate “value” play: he’s pretty cheap, was a good strikeout arm until last year, and is facing an extremely strikeout prone team. DFSers that are looking for an upside arm might want to look at Gallardo, or even as a third SP if the hitting lineup isn’t particularly appealing.
Jean Segura (SS) – $6627
Yovani Gallardo (SP) – $14,275
