Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Values – March 31

Madison Bumgarner

Kansas City Royals at Detroit Tigers

James Shields is starting for Kansas City but had his highest ERA against the Tigers of any team last year (with at least two starts) at 4.96. He also had his worst K:BB rate against the Tigers of any team except for the Minnesota Twins (huh?). In short, he’s not a good start today but some of the Tigers hitters are.

Billy Butler (DH) – $6616

Justin Verlander is the opening day starter again and, despite a down year last year, he still had a 3.27 ERA in six starts with a walk rate in line with his good years. Whether DFSers believe in a Verlander bounceback or not is up to them. Personally, I’ll take a “wait until I see it” approach.

Torii Hunter (OF) – $6724

Joe Nathan (P) – $2053
