Winnipeg Jets at Los Angeles Kings
Winnipeg has had a brutal March with just four wins in their 13 games. I will say right off the top that there is exactly a 0-percent chance I will take whoever starts in net for Winnipeg tonight for any type of DFS game.
One thing Winnipeg has done right of late is score on the power play, converting four of their previous twelve chances. The yin to that yang is that they’ve given up five power play goals against in those four games, so they’re not really coming out ahead (one reason I don’t like the goalies). They have done a decent job in the possession game of late, but I expect that to change tonight.
Los Angeles is just flat out on a roll. The Kings are on a five-game winning streak, the second one this month for them. While the team has been able to average three goals for/game over those five games, they have also averaged fewer than two goals against/game. They are out-possessing teams, they are scoring on the power play (10 goals in 13 games this month) and they are not giving up power play goals against (just five in 13 games this month).
This is a tale of two teams and because of the prices of some LA players, I will be tempted to throw a mini-Kings stack in some GPPs. Winnipeg’s offense scares me enough not to take Jonathan Quick in net, but I do like some Kings players to produce value.
