Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – March 29

Ryan Callahan

Anaheim Ducks at Vancouver Canucks

Anaheim played in Edmonton last night and managed to lose in overtime. That has been a common theme for this team in the month of March as they are 5-4-3 but own losses against Toronto, Calgary, Washington, and now Edmonton. It’s not through a lack of trying – the Ducks have managed at least 40 shots on goals in five of their last eleven games – but the percentages that allowed Anaheim to win 10 in a row in January are now correcting themselves. They are still scoring goals, which is nice, putting away 24 in their last seven games. But they have given up 19 in return and that’s not good considering the quality of some of their competition.

Vancouver is on quite a run considering how bad this team is, going 5-1-1 in their last seven games. The team has scored five power play goals over that stretch but the trick has been their goaltending as Eddie Lack has given up just seven goals against in their last four games. A couple of depth plays that have been on fire lately are Zack Kassian (2 G, 4 A last 3 GP) and David Booth (3 G, 1 A last 4 GP). One of them can be a nice option to round out a stacked lineup.

Anaheim is playing back to back on the road but so far this year, the team is an astounding 5-0-1 in the second game of a B2B on the road situation. Those wins include a couple over the St. Louis Blues. It’s been really impressive.

I don’t know that I’d stack the Ducks tonight but there are nice options that can be used on both sides to help round out GPP lineups or contribute in 50/50 games. I would stay away from both goalies though.
