Florida Panthers at Los Angeles Kings
I would say that the Panthers have trouble generating offense, but that’s just not true. Over the team’s last five games, they have managed 16 total goals and even have three power play goals mixed in there for good measure (21.4-percent efficiency). Of course, they are just riding a ridiculously hot streak for them, as the team has shot a very high 12.8-percent over the course of those five games, so it’s just a matter of time before the goals dry up again. It seems as though a visit into Los Angeles would be just the recipe for that.
The Kings ended their three game losing streak with a shootout win against the Washington Capitals on Thursday night. They are also back to their “can’t score worth a lick” days as the team has shot just 4.8-percent in their last four games, managing just seven goals along the way. On the bright side of things, three of those seven goals have come on the power play and with the Florida Panthers having the worst penalty kill in the NHL this year (an even 75-percent), it would seem this game would be a good bet for the Kings power play to click.
It won’t take a lot of analysis to see that this should be a low-scoring game but the Kings should come out on top. Besides Jonathan Quick and maybe a cheap value skater, there shouldn’t be much else taken out of this game for DFS purposes.
