Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – March 18

Rick Nash

Florida Panthers at San Jose Sharks

There is no way that this game should be anywhere close so I will just say stack the San Jose power play for GPPs if you felt so inclined. Also, Matthew Nieto still makes a solid value play in 50/50s.

I will say this though: San Jose has losses to Buffalo (twice), Carolina (twice), the Islanders, Edmonton, and Calgary this year. San Jose seems to struggle in the “gimmie” games at times so it could give me hesitation for stacking in GPPs. If DFS players think that the Sharks are too obvious of a stack, there is some evidence to support such a move.

I would recommend maybe one or two GPPs without a Sharks stack; it helps avoid duplicate players with opponents and would seem to make a bit of sense given the Sharks’ history against bad teams. They did beat Florida 3-0 back in January, but that’s not really a huge offensive game given the price of some of their more expensive players.
