Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – December 31

Ryan Spooner Daily fantasy hockey

Philadelphia Flyers at Calgary Flames

The Flyers, despite being out-played by a Vancouver team playing on back-to-back nights, managed to force a shootout last night and eventually took it on the back of Steve Mason. That makes Philly 5-1 in their last six, including three wins on the road, which had been a problem for them all year until now.

Calgary, meanwhile, has lost back-to-back games by a 2-0 score, and that’s not good. This has been coming for a while, too, as they have fewer than 30 shots on goal in seven of their last eight games.

This is a tough game to read because of the inter-Conference aspect, Philadelphia’s back-to-back nights on the road, and Calgary’s general losing ways over the last few weeks. What I will say is that Philadelphia continued their streak of scoring at least three goals in the Vancouver game (now seven straight games) and Calgary is shaky at the back end and in net right now.

If you’re looking for another off-the-board goalie, whoever is in net for Calgary isn’t a bad idea. They might let in a couple, but I still see the Flames taking this in the end.
