San Jose Sharks at Anaheim Ducks
After a bit of a slide at the start of the month, San Jose has now won four games in a row, all Western Conference teams, and including these very Ducks two days ago at the Shark Tank.
Anaheim had their 10-game winning streak snapped by San Jose on Sunday night. There were some score effects at work, but the Ducks still out-shot the Sharks 31-23.
This will be the third meeting this year between these two teams, with San Jose taking both games. However, both those games were in San Jose, and Anaheim has yet to lose a regulation game at home this year (14-0-2).
Both power plays have struggled recently, but Anaheim much more so: the Ducks haven’t scored a power play goal in eight straight games, going 0-for-21 over those eight contests. It’s going to be tough sledding for the Ducks if they can’t get their special teams going.
I expect another close game between these two teams, maybe a 3-2 overtime game or something of that nature. I would try to avoid the goalies because this game is a true toss-up.
