DFS Fantasy Hockey Value Update – December 15

Draft Day daily fantasy hockey value picks based on line combinations, injuries and roster moves with analysis of current trends for December 15, 2013.

Tampa Bay Lightning at Detroit Red Wings

Both of these teams are coming off losses last night, being outscored a combined 7-1. Over their last eight combined games, these two teams are 1-3-4 and have scored 12 total goals.

Two downward-trending teams who are both playing on the second night of a back-to-back and are each without star players? Sunday Sadness Bowl, indeed.

The Wings and Bolts met on Thursday night, and the result was a 1-1 tie that went to a shootout. On top of that, the teams went a combined 0-for-8 on the power play. In fact, over those last eight games these two teams have played, they are a combined 3-for-29 on the power play, or an awful 10.3-percent.

In all, you can read the tea leaves, so to speak, with this one. Maybe because both teams are tired that this ends up being a high-scoring game, but I just don’t see it. Pick a side and grab a goaltender, because the skaters probably won’t do much.
