2013 MLB Power Rankings – Week 10

MLB Power Rankings - Week 10

There is a change atop our weekly MLB Power Rankings. After a couple of weeks playing .500 ball, the Rangers have been leapfrogged by a National League contender. The Cardinals can call themselves the best in baseball for the moment as they maintain their grasp on baseball’s best record. And, with the way things are working in St. Louis, it might be a while before they give up the top rankings spot.

Meanwhile, the Red Sox have moved back up to the number two spot as they have opened up the largest divisional lead in the American League. The rest of the top 10 remains pretty familiar, with no real major movement among those teams.

There’s not much that’s different near the lower end of the rankings, either. The Marlins and Astros continue to occupy the basement with the underachieving Blue Jays and Dodgers languishing perilously close to the bottom. But, until Houston and Miami are relegated to a lower league, they should at least have a couple teams below them.
