They way I see it there are two ways to attack tonight’s daily NHL picks. The first plan of attack is to do our normal research on trends and matchups. The second plan of attack is to simply stack the Tampa Bay/Toronto game. I’ll offer up two lineups utilizing each strategy to be played at FanDuel.
Lineup One
LW: Taylor Hall $7,700—Hall has seven points in his past four games.
LW: Ray Whitney $5,300—Whitney has four points in his past three games. Dallas plays Colorado tonight and Semyon Varlamov is in net for Colorado. Varlamov has allowed 14 goals in his past three starts.
RW: Loui Eriksson $6,100—Eriksson has two goals and one assist over his past three games. See above about Varlamov.
RW: Ales Hemsky $5,200—Hemsky has four points in his past four games and sees his fair share of power play time.
C: Steven Stamkos $9,000
C: Nazem Kadri $6,300—After three games without a point Kadri got back on the board with two assists against Winnipeg on Mar. 16. He has a great matchup against Tampa Bay tonight.
D: Cam Fowler $3,700—Fowler is starting to shoot the puck on a more regular basis (11 of his 31 season shots have come in the past four games) and has seen a healthy dose of power play minutes.
D: Jared Spurgeon $4,200—Spurgeon mans the point with Ryan Suter on Minnesota’s power play. He has a decent matchup against a Detroit team that has allowed 22 power play goals this season.
G: Devan Dubnyk $7,400—I think Edmonton gets the win at home tonight and that Dubnyk could see 30+ shots—a perfect daily fantasy combo.
Lineup Two – Stacked Tampa Bay. You could also switch this and stack Toronto’s first line.
LW: James van Riemsdyk $6,500
LW: Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson $4,800
RW: Martin St. Louis $7,600
RW: Teddy Purcell $5,700
C: Steven Stamkos $9,000
C: Nazem Kadri $6,300
D: Matt Carle $3,800
D: Cam Fowler $3,700
G: Devan Dubnyk $7,400
May the daily fantasy gods be on your side.
