Vanilla Chalk
($6,100) LeSean McCoy @ PHI -Over/Under: 47 Team Total: 23.5 Spread: PK
Alert: Revenge narrative x 9999 on the tap here. He’s the Real McCoy and he’s averaged 17.3 fantasy points over his last 5 games and 21.3 touches over his last 3. This is a real beef and you can bet the house McCoy will be coming in angrier than s against his ex team.
($6,100) Sammy Watkins @ PHI – Over/Under: 47 Team Total: 23.5 Spread: PK. Now I wouldn’t go all in on the offense of the Buffalo Bills and put LeSean McCoy and Watkins in the same lineup but I love both these guys this week. As tweeted by @rotounderworld:
“Sammy Watkins has posted 3.84 fantasy points per tgt on a mind blowing 19.07 yards per tgt since his soul was stolen by Revis and Butler.”
That’s insane efficiency and with the run game working and Tyrod Taylor shaping into late-season form, Watkins is a top 10 receiver this week. The discount you get on him from other elite guys at the position is incredible.
($9,100) Odell Beckham Jr. @ Miami -Over/Under: 47 Team Total: 23.5 Spread: PK
ODB is on fire, as his orange-topped hairdo shows, and is a lock in my lineups almost every week at this point. We are seeing him do Beckham things, going on an insane stretch run like the 2014 season. I am especially giddy to slot him in against one of the most dysfunctional defenses in the NFL. Miami allows the seventh most fantasy points to wide receivers.
Confident Calls
($6,100) Eli Manning @ MIA -Over/Under: 47 Team Total: 23.5 Spread: PK
As long as OBJ is playing at this elite level, he will bolster Manning’s value. All Manning has to do is put the ball up there and give Beckham a chance and he will most likely come down with most balls resulting in Eli fantasy points. I think this stack will be the base of my cash game lineups this week. Miami surrenders the ninth most fantasy points to the position and the 11th most pass yards per game.
($4,800) Shaun Draughn @ CLE -Over/Under: 41 Team Total: 20.75 Spread: 1.5
He is the work horse in the running and the passing game, and the large work load finally paid off after 3 difficult matchups with 20 touches each game with 17.1 fantasy points. I expect him to exceed that production in this plum matchup with the team allowing the 6th most fantasy points and the second most yards on the ground per game.
Sidebar: The 49ers are dogs against the Browns. We are BAD! Even at home, it’s painful as a bay area lifelong 49er fan.
($6,900) Greg Olsen vs ATL -Over/Under: 46.5 Team Total: 27 Spread: -7.5
Surprise surprise! Greg Olsen is in my piece again! He seems to never fail and remains the top cash game tight end across all formats. Atlanta allows the 11th most fantasy points to tight ends. Let’s be honest, Greg Olsen should cost over 7K and it’s hard to get off him as long as he’s priced there.
($3,500) Seattle Seahawks Defense @ BAL -Over/Under: TBD Team Total: Spread: -9
It is going to be hard to get off of this play this week with the Matt pick 6 Schaub delivering his patented defensive touchdowns two weeks in a row, coupled with facing one of the top NFL defenses. It’s going to be uglier than Sloth from the Goonies.
Indiana Jones Play
($5,500) Jameis Winston vs NO -Over/Under: 50.5 Team Total: Spread: -4
Winston is in a great spot to be a contrarian upside tournament play this week. You only save $100 off of Drew Brees if you drop down from $7,900 on FanDuel, so I don’t think many people will be looking that way due to the history and pedigree of Drew Brees and the early season bumbles of Winston. The matchup is far better for Winston and he is actually managing a robust average fantasy output of 21.5 on the season. The Saints allow the most fantasy points to quarterbacks and the second most passing yards. Famous Jameis also alway provides upside with the konami code rushing touch down. I don’t think a stack is in play this week with it tough to determine where the pass catcher fantasy points will be so I prefer a naked Winston. You know what I mean. This may be the shootout of the week.
($4,900) T.J. Yeldon vs IND -Over/Under: TBD Team Total: Spread: -1
After countless weeks where many sharps were on Yeldon, he finally came through with a touchdown in addition to eclipsing 100 total yards for the 4th time this year. I have not played Yeldon once this year because the Jaguars never run in the endzone, which is one of the most important factors for me when choosing running backs weekly. We all saw on this past Sunday night DeAngelo Williams generate long gain after long gain vs this unit, having 3 first down runs of 10 yards or more in a row at one point. He is still a tournament ONLY option.
($5,200) Danny Amendola @ Hou -Over/Under: 45 Team Total: Spread: -3.5
This guy is still not priced into his role. He avoided setbacks on Sunday in the huge upset against the Eagles. With Gronk likely to be sidelined another week maybe he’ll even start getting you those passing yards points going 1 of 1 for a 36 yard completion last week to Tom Brady of all people. With LaFell struggling — only managing 27 yards on 9 targets with some bad drops — and Rob Gronkowski unlikely to play week 14 — Amendola should be the guy. He has had 10, 9, and 7 catches on 11, 12, and 13 targets, making him an almost must play in PPR cash games.
($6,300) Jarvis Landry @ NYG -Over/Under: 47 Team Total: 23.5 Spread: PK
You can really differentiate yourself in Tournaments on Fan Duel dropping down from Watkins at $7,200 with Landry coming off of a week he really burned a lot of people and Watkins coming off some incredible outings. You always have to love the Monday night hammer as well.
($5,700) Lamar Miller @NYG -Over/Under: 47 Team Total: 23.5 Spread: PK
The New York Giants are allowing the tenth most fantasy points to running backs and once again, the Dolphins have recommitted to the run after ditching Bill Lazor. Miller received over 20 touches last Sunday for the first time since week 10. This game feels like the Dan Campbell, Lamar Miller week.
