Over in China, former NBAer Von Wafer went crazy and started throwing crotch-punches and chairs because apparently Chinese-style basketball is way more intense than the American version.
The poorly-edited video shows Wafer knee check some guy into the floor during a playoff tilt between Qingdao and Shanxi.
Then, at around the 19-second mark, Wafer throws a fist at one of the opposing players, landing squarely where you’d least like to get punched.
Wafer was inevitably ejected, and responded by chucking a chair into the stands.
Crazy.
The action wasn’t limited to the court either:
If you don’t remember Wafer, and you shouldn’t because he was terrible, he was drafted 39th overall by the Lakers in 2005 out of FSU. He went on to play in 200 games between 2005 and 2012 with stints for the Lakers, Clippers, Nuggets, Blazers, Celtics, and Magic, posting a career 5.3 PPG and a 42 percent field-goal rate.
