Daily Fantasy Hockey: DFS DraftKings Values – December 1

Alex Killhorn

Today is a disaster day for DFS hockey, particularly in cash games. There are no teams playing the second of a back to back, most matchups are fairly evenly matched (at least from a Vegas point of a view), and two of the five games are inter-Conference play, so there isn’t much history to go on. It’s a day I would recommend cutting back on volume, or at least transferring the drop in cash game volume to GPPs.

Play Daily Fantasy Hockey on DraftKings Tonight!

As always, check Left Wing Lock for goalie confirmations.

Players will be in order of perceived value, by position, and there should be enough to mix-and-match for each type of game available on Draft Kings. Some positions might only have a few plays, some might have several. It all depends on the day, the matchups, and the price.

Remember: players are in order of value, not necessarily in cost. Just because Sidney Crosby is $8000 one day doesn’t mean he’s a better value than Andrew Shaw at $4000.

Cash Games

Centre Wing Defense Goalie
Johnson (TBL) – $5100 Maroon (ANA) – $3600 Garrison (TBL) – $4600 Andersen (ANA) – $8100
Duchene (COL) – $6000 Hartnell (CBJ) – $5200 Lindholm (ANA) – $3400 Bishop (TBL) – $7700
Getzlaf (ANA) – $6600 Killorn (TBL) – $4600 Wisniewski (CBJ) – $4100 Fasth (EDM) – $6700
Johansen (CBJ) – $6800 Hall (EDM) – $6900 Girardi (NYR) – $3800
Brassard (NYR) – $4100 Huberdeau (FLA) – $4400 Kulikov (FLA) – $3400
Stamkos (TBL) – $8800 O’Reilly (COL) – $4600
Nugent-Hopkins (EDM) – $4700 Zuccarello (NYR) – $4500
Perry (ANA) – $7500

  • Alex Killorn’s price for Tampa Bay is too good to pass up tonight, but I also like their secondary players quite a bit tonight. Names like Johnson and Garrison appear to have pretty good matchups away from the top guns for New York.
  • There are a lot of very good players with a price tag under $7K, and that makes expensive players like Stamkos and Corey Perry fairly disposable on a short slate.
  • Goaltending is a real mess tonight. There are no real big favorites tonight, and all teams appear to be evenly matched. On a night like that, it’s not necessarily a bad idea to get with an extremely cheap option.

Guaranteed Prize Pools/Tournaments

Centre Wing Defense Goalie
Johansen (CBJ) – $6800 Hartnell (CBJ) – $5200 Garrison (TBL) – $4600 Fasth (EDM) – $6700
Duchene (COL) – $6000 Foligno (CBJ) – $5100 Wisniewski (CBJ) – $4100 Pickard (COL) – $7200
Johnson (TBL) – $5100 O’Reilly (COL) – $4600 Redmond (COL) – $3400
Nugent-Hopkins (EDM) – $4700 Palat (TBL) – $4700 Schultz (EDM) – $4100
Kucherov (TBL) – $4500
Hall (EDM) – $6900
Eberle (EDM) – $5200

  • Again, DFSers can go just about anywhere tonight. There usually isn’t a wrong answer when making a GPP lineup, and that especially rings true tonight.
  • If I’m going to stack against the Rangers, it’ll be players not on Tampa Bay’s first line. It’s a way to get away from high ownership rates, and it avoids the Ryan McDonagh pairing.
  • There are a lot of borderline goalies tonight, so there’s no real bad way to go in net. I like Fasth because he has a good shot at facing upwards of 30 shots.

Slim’s Pickins (bargain plays)

Vlad Namestnikov (TBL-C, $2600) – Namestnikov is part of the Tampa Bay depth that can be targeted tonight.

Brett Connolly (TBL-W, $2500) – Top power play minutes for the Lightning.

Josh Manson (ANA-D, $2500) – The Anaheim defence corps has sustained a lot of injuries and it has thrust Manson into a prominent role.

Good luck!
